Toes in the Water

Congrats to all of our friends who just graduated from Slippery Rock, IUP, WVU, Pitt, Duquesne, Seton Hill, St. Vincent, Fairmont State, Clarion, and every other college town that we’ve had the pleasure of performing at in the past few years. Good luck, keep us in mind for your wedding or corporate function and remember – If you aren’t ready to be a grown up just yet, there is always grad school!

It’s time to take WoS on the road for the Summer! We are excited to have some great shows scheduled, and we even managed to plan some real vacation this season! Here’s a tentative rundown of the next couple of weeks:

May 25 – Spiffy hits Dewey Beach for the legendary Sunday Jam at Jimmy’s with Joe Daphne at 2pm

May 26 – WoS DEBUT at the Jetty Dock Bar in Grasonville, MD 3pm

May 27 – We recover

May 28 – Private Jam

Birthday of SHAME!

First and foremost, a big thank you to everyone for their continued support. April marks our 6th birthday as a band, and we can’t tell you how much we appreciate you all.

You may be asking yourself, “Walk of Shame has been so good to us. What could we get them for a birthday gift?” Well, very kind and attractive reader – We have one simple request: Let places know that you like us. Let venues know that you want to see us there. Let bars know that you had a blast when you saw us. Ask when we will be back.

How can you do that?

It’s really easy – A quick post on Jergel’s Facebook Page saying that you had fun goes a long way. (And be sure to LIKE their page while you are there!) A quick tweet to @SchmittsSaloon or @BartiniWV asking when we will be back helps a ton! Do you have a venue that we HAVEN’T played that you’d like to see us? Let somebody know! Seriously, people listen, and your voice matters!

We’ve had the opportunity to play a few really great new rooms in the past couple of months, and it’s been largely because of word-of-mouth. We have booked several weddings and private parties because of your input, and on our 6th birthday – We realize that without your help, we would just be playing songs in Chartman’s basement, and buying our own Jagerbombs would get old quickly.

On that note – We are accepting offers for Cinco de Mayo, as well as graduation parties in the next few months. Solo, trio, full band, and DJ/MC options available.

So big thanks to places like Mr. Biggs, PJ Kellys, Goal Rush, BZ’s, and Jergel’s for giving us a shot in the past month, and to our old friends at places like Villa, Grubs, Ginger Hill, and anyone else that we forgot – Thank you.

This Saturday we decided to watch the Penguins with former goalie Ken Wregget at the NEW 31 Sports Bar down in Bridgeville, PA. The former RPM’s has been newly remodeled and is under new ownership that just happens to be one of greatest Penguins of all time. Oh, we’ll be playing some tunes after the game, too! It’s our last show in Pittsburgh for a while, so we hope you can all come out!

Mama ShamROCK Me!

We had a great time performing for thousands of people in the Southside for St. Paddy’s this year. It was a bit bittersweet not to be with our friends at Bar Louie in Station Square, but we are hopeful that the pieces will fall in place for us to continue our Station Square tradition next year.

Here are a few pictures from this year!

Look Ma! No Pants!

It was a privilege and an honor to be asked to be a part of the inaugural Pittsburgh Cupid Undie Run. We helped to raise over $110,000 for NF (neurofibromatosis) – Did you forget to donate? We reset the page HERE so that you still can!

Seriously – Thank you to Rachael, Megan, Sean, Jaime, Jesse, Ronnie, and everyone at Buckhead Pittsbugh and the Cupid Run for putting together such a fun event for such a great cause. We are already looking forward to returning next year.

Want to see why?

The Year of SHAME in Review

First and foremost, thank you all for making 2013 the biggest and best year that Walk of Shame has ever had. We made a lot of new friends, got the opportunity to play at some amazing venues, shared some incredible wedding days, and drank our body weight in Jagerbombs.

Crap, we really need to hit the gym now.

Good thing we can recover as we start 2014! We took a couple of weeks off to rest and reflect, and decided that we need to go even bigger in 2014! We are expanding our setlist even further: Adding a lot more country, and more modern dance/pop. We started taking bookings as a 90’s tribute band, mainly because WE want to hang out with other people in their late 20’s and 30’s who want to sing along to “Wonderwall” and “Santeria”, and we are working on revamping our stage setup to get a bit more fancy.

And we took some pictures. Don’t we look like clean-cut boys?

We still have some available dates for 2014, including St. Patty’s (Both 3/15 and 3/17) – Shoot us a request!

WoS 2016!

If we don’t say it often enough, we LOVE being a national Jager Band. Check out what just came from the record label:

#Jager #Shotski

#Jager #Shotski

We’ve been doing a lot more weddings and private events lately. We offer full service entertainment: Sound, production, lighting, band, DJ, MC, and whatever else your event may call for. For example, we played an AMAZING wedding up at Armstrong Farms, about 45 minutes North of Pittsburgh.

We know enough not to talk religion or politics, but we also decided that playing campaign events WOULD fall under our “private event” department:

Senator Santorum and Spiffy... Seriously!

Senator Santorum and Spiffy… Seriously!

If you would have told us when we woke up that a guy who was the frontrunner to be the next President of the United States would be on our dance floor rockin’ out to us playing “Chicken Fried” we would have slapped you for being so silly, and called you a liar.

… We would have also been very, very wrong.

One month until we rock out Sloppy Joe’s in Key West. WVU and SRU Homecoming this weekend, lots of fun Halloween shows, some more weddings, and then Holiday Parties and New Year’s Eve. It’s been an amazing 2013, and we aren’t done yet! #LifeDoesNotSuck

Brotherly Love

Big thanks to the largest sports and concert venue in the country for having us out to play a little show last night. Thankfully, Spiffy managed to get though the whole gig without mentioning that we were from Pittsburgh, and nobody threw batteries at us.

Thanks for keeping it classy, Philly! Seriously – XFinity LIVE! is amazing, and we are already looking forward to our next time playing there!

Green Jagerbombs?

We are going to make it happen.

We are taking tonight off in anticipation of the biggest day of the year for us. The St. Patty’s celebration in Pittsburgh has grown to be second only to the one in Boston as far as national prominence, and it is an honor for us to be a part of it for a 4th straight year.

Just a reminder: We start the day off at Bar Louie in Station Square at 8am for Kegs and Eggs before the parade, and take the stage right after around noon. Bar Louie will have a nice tent set up as well that is heated where people can eat, drink, and hang out without being affected by the weather. Stick around in Station Square for Sun Dog 6 after us at Bar Louie, taking the stage around 7pm.

We pack up and haul ass over the bridge to the North Shore to keep the party going at the Tilted Kilt from 7-11pm. Yes it’s a long day, and Spiffy is already complaining about a sore throat but hey – We train for this all year long. We plan on bringing our A game – You should too, everybody.

Most importantly – Drink safe, drink responsibly, and don’t be alarmed if your poop is green for the next week or so.

“I Made em Extra Sloppy for Ya!”

We are in the home stretch of an awesome week of shows at the legendary Sloppy Joe’s in Key West, Florida. A HUGE thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome – We can’t wait to come back!

To everyone who has been asking: Walk of Shame is available NATIONWIDE for your wedding, corporate event, party, bar or nightclub. You can contact management directly through this site. It looks like we’ll be making stops all over the USA in 2014.

As always, thanks to Jager for always taking such great care of us, and of course – Thank you all for your continued support!

The More You Know!

Did you know that Walk of Shame is a nationally sponsored and endorsed “Jager Band”? Did you know that the band accepts bookings all over the country? Did you know that they are available for weddings, private parties, casinos, corporate events, and more?

Well… We didn’t either – But then we saw THIS:

Good Karma

We are proud to have donated our time to the 6th Annual Crawl for Cancer last weekend. Over 800 people braved the rain to hop around Station Square for a great cause. Why We Love Playing Weddings

1 – Everybody is there to have a good time (Except maybe that one ex boyfriend that you remained friends with who assured you that things “wouldn’t get weird” but is found crying in the bathroom after a few Jagerbombs)

2 – Well-dressed people always seem to make it count. (“I didn’t eat for a week and crammed my ass into this dress – I’m dancing!”)

3 – Three Words: Open. Bar. Dude.

4 – There is always that ONE bridesmaid that we get warned about in advance who is the “crazy one.” (At LEAST one.)

5 – In all seriousness, we take being a part of your special day very seriously. Most wedding guests remember 3 things – The food, the booze, and the entertainment. Go with the cheaper chair covers and napkins and throw a hell of a party!

We are taking deposits for 2014 now! Don’t wait!

Shipping Up to Pittsburgh

Thank you to the amazing staff at both Latitude 40 and Jergel’s for taking such great care of us last weekend. We’ll be back to both venues in April. Check the WoS Schedule for details.

We are under a month away from the biggest drinking day of the year in the City of Pittsburgh. That’s right kids, St. Patty’s is right around the corner and we’ve got some massive shows for you this year.

First, in WoS St. Patty’s Tradition, we will be kicking off the day at Bar Louie Station Square for Kegs and Eggs at 8am. We will take the stage right around noon (directly after the parade ends) and are playing there all day with the help of some of our DJ friends. Because of the remodeling, Bar Louie went out and got themselves an awesome pavilion/tent that will have heat, beer, music, and more! Additional entertainment will be announced for later that evening.

But WAIT – There’s MORE! After we rock out Bar Louie all day, we haul ass over the bridge and set up shop at the HOTTEST bar in the North Shore, the Tilted Kilt. Our good friends Mike and Frank from The Lava Game will kick things off with acoustical goodness.

Seriously: You need MORE of an excuse to come party with us?

For booking information, call Sean at (412)607-3233 – We have limited Summer 2013 avails, are taking deposits for Fall 2013 and Spring/Summer 2014 weddings, and we are currently booking Fall 2013.

Wedding Testimonial

We had the honor of playing a wedding last weekend that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. If you said that at any point as a band that we’d be playing Punjabi dance music or songs from Bollywood to get the dancefloor packed, we’d have probably called you a liar.

Thanks again Ameet and Keri for an awesome time!

We are currently booking 2013/2014 weddings – Don’t wait!

You Say It's Your Birthday?

We made it to 2013! It’s a big week in SHAME. First – Wednesday 1/9 we play at Mario’s Southside Saloon. It also happens to be the birthday of lead singer “Spiffy” Sean Styles so this also serves as a disclaimer for the above-average consumption of Jagerbombs that will occur at the show.

If you’d like something a bit more classy and refined along with the chance to win MILLIONS of dollars, check us out on Friday in Silk’s Lounge at the beautiful Meadows Casino down in Washington, PA. We clean up nice, and work very hard not to offend the 80-year old women playing the penny slots outside the lounge. It’s a work in progress (Maybe “Crazy Bitch” isn’t a good song for them?)

Thanks as always for your support. We’ve got some really big things already popping in 2013, including the addition of Aaron Hreczkosiej on lead guitar. Our New Years Resolution is to learn how to pronounce his last name by 2014.

Happy Ho Ho Holidays

Sorry it’s been so long since we’ve updated… Turkey coma and such.

Apparently even with a band name like “Walk of Shame” it is possible for us to all be very good boys this year. Christmas was great, and I hope that everybody enjoyed their time visiting loved ones. On behalf of the band, I hope you all had a blessed Holiday Season.

That being said – The Holidays aren’t over yet! We are heading up to Seven Springs to rock out the Foggy Goggle Friday AND Saturday night. If you need more incentive to come party on the mountain, our good friends from Velveeta will be right next door rocking out the Matterhorn Lounge both nights as well. On top of ALL of that – SEVEN SPRINGS HAS SNOW! Oh, and it’s supposed to keep snowing tonight and tomorrow!

If you can’t make it out this weekend, there are still tickets available for the biggest New Years Eve party in the Butler area! Check us out at The Days Inn rocking out the Crystal Ballroom! Packages start at $29.95:

Thank you all for an amazing 2012. We’ve got even bigger and better things on the 2013 horizon. Speaking of, we are taking deposits for 2013/2014 weddings, and have limited available dates – Give Sean a call at (412)607-3233 if you are interested in booking Walk of Shame at your venue.

Turkey Coma

We hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving! Big thanks to the crew at Loughlin’s Pub for an awesome Thanksgiving Eve party, it’s always a blast there.

In addition, thank you all for coming out to TJ’s Hideaway for our first show there on Saturday 11/24. Even with people exhausted from Black Friday shopping and hopped up on the turkey, it was great to see so many people dancing!

This weekend we return to IUP for the first time in over a year to rock out with the crew at Wolfie’s. It’s one of the best party bars in the country, and if you know your WoS history you know that Indiana, PA is where it all started for us almost five years ago.

Make sure you check out our Facebook for a complete schedule, and enjoy the Holiday Season,
